Details
  • At the annual EIS Conference in Atlanta, EIS officers share their work in leading-edge investigations, scientific findings, and forward-thinking strategies to inform improvements in public health, all while gaining valuable presentation experience. Participants engage in professional networking sessions, recognition ceremonies and various learning opportunities.

This conference draws diverse attention each year from various public health sectors around the world—from epidemiologists and laboratory scientists to EIS alumni, news media, and prospective EIS applicants. EIS Conference registration is free and it is recommended that participants and attendees register in advance. You can register online or at the hotel during the conference. FETP International Nights
Co-organized by TEPHINET and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) each year during two evenings of the EIS Conference, FETP International Nights highlight the work of Field Epidemiology Training Program fellows and graduates from around the world.

This year’s FETP International Nights will take place as follows:

    Tuesday, April 30, 6:00pm-8:30pm – Poster Presentations
Wednesday, May 1, 6:30-9:00pm – Oral Presentations and Award Ceremony
On the second night, the work considered to depict the most outstanding application of epidemiology to direct a public health intervention is selected to receive the William H. Foege Award and Jeffrey P. Koplan Award for excellence in Scientific Presentation.
