Following the nine-day training workshop on “Outbreak Investigation, Leadership and Management,” participants will be assigned to field mentors.
During the four-week field work, the participants return to their duty stations where they will be guided and supported by twelve mentors to conduct outbreak investigation/ case investigation for common VPDs.
Participants will apply their knowledge and skills gained on project management to design a project that serves strengthening the surveillance in their localities through community-based surveillance to assist increase the overage by measles vaccine and reduce the related morbidity and mortality.
During this period, participants will continue collecting, interpreting, and analyzing surveillance data as they did in field work (1).
